„To save an animal does not rescue the world – but the world is saved for that one animal.“ (Horst Stern)
The Emergency Relief Fund does not provide continuous support for a project, but it is meant to help animals in emergencies: A stray dog that needs to be neutered and vaccinated, an injured wild animal, that needs veterinary care, an orphaned cub, which must be reared by hand, a seriously ill animal in need of surgery, or an animal that is to be freed from inappropriate keeping.
Anybody can apply for aid who wants to help an animal in distress, but who does not have the necessary financial resources. The Emergency Relief Fund will bear the costs and thus rapidly improve the current situation.
If you want to apply for the help of the Fund, please fill in the application form for emergency relief and send it to the office of Welttierschutzgesellschaft e.V. Our veterinarians will carefully examine the applications, evaluate these and make a recommendation on the amount of funding. Every month up to four applications will be selected. If we obtain more requests, after considering all the applications, we shall select those who need the help most urgently.
The maximum of emergency aid paid for each individual case is up to 1,000 Euros.
For us, Welttierschutzgesellschaft (WTG), the whole physical and social well-being of each single animal is important. We want to make our contribution within the scope of the Emergency Relief Fund:
